Although it was a private project, I made the above illustration for a blog post about our work to apply Machine Learning to clinics, and I am on two pending patents.
Designing a product based in ML taught me how to design for raters, which I wrote about to help other UXers prioritize this work. Internal tools are the foundation for external output. We must not forget about them.
In the early weeks of joining the project, I drafted a quick user journey. After a year of research and learning, I refined it into a much more robust version (below.) This was a useful foundation piece for new team members and underscores the value of iteration.
