Although it was a private project, I made the above illustration for a blog post about our work to apply Machine Learning (ML) to clinics. Designing a product based in ML taught me how to design for raters, which I wrote about on the Google Design Blog to help other UXers prioritize this work. Internal tools are the foundation for external output.
In the early weeks of joining the project, I drafted a quick user journey. After a year of research and learning, I refined it into a much more robust version (below.) This was a useful foundation piece for new team members and underscores the value of iteration.
